About Me

Insecure, needy, lazy, nagging and annoying, dense, afraid of plums, antelope and the number pi, underachieving, pregnant, stubborn, cheap and poor, problems with tardiness, pasty white, dim-witted and unintelligent---IT'S OPPOSITE DAY!!!!haha - I love that joke. Get it? Because it's Opposite Day? So all of those things I wrote - it's the OPPOSITE.

My Interests

I'm mostly interested in other people's interests. Do you have an interest I may adopt as my own? Please help this poor interestless soul.

I'd like to meet:

People who celebrate Opposite Day with regularity. I'd also like to wrap my arms around the person who invented Opposite Day in a big long awkward hug, to personally tell him/her how brilliant s/he is. So if that's you, consider this your fair warning. I'm coming for you, and you may expect a huge bear hug, no matter time or place.

Music:

Ed Harcourt, Maceo Parker, Okkervil River, NQ Arbuckle, Death Cab, Sufjan Stevens, Iron and Wine, Reeve Carney and The Revolving Band, Dignan, Phosphorescent, Grandaddy, Mute Math, Josh Rouse, Paul Duncan, Band of Horses, The Faint, Bright Eyes, Josh Ritter, Son: Ambulance, The Elected, Great Lake Swimmers, Jon Brion, Moving Units, Jason Collett, Broken Social Scene, Kings of Leon, Ray Lamontagne, Jose Gonzalez, Holopaw, Hadag NaChash, and anything I can make an ass of myself dancing to in clubs....

Movies:

I pretty much stick to the classics, like Zzyxx Rd.

Television:

Is what I turn on when I'm tired of listening to my roommates blabber on and on about their day and blah blah blah. Ooh! CSI: Dubuque is on!

Books:

Why do they pluralize this section? There's only one holy book in my life, and that's Dr. Seuss' "Great Day For Up"

Heroes:

My Folks, my brother and sister, my LA family of friends. The people close to me are my heroes on a daily basis and I'm thankful for it. And also Prince, the Artist formerly known as Prince, and the reincarnated Prince who looks and sounds an awful lot like the original Prince except with much worse music.
