Life is perfect in a perfect world; unfortunately this isn't a perfect world. In the thirteen years Annie and I have been together we have seen and done it all (well most of it)
Between the two of us we have worked just about everywhere in Arlington/Fort Worth.
In 1996 at the age of twenty one we had our first child together. We had been together for what seemed like forever, in reality it was only two and a half years. Nicholas (Nic) was an easy baby. He didn’t cry much and was happy doing just about anything we wanted to do. In the first week or so of pre-k his teacher asked him “Why don't you spell Nick with a K" He answered, "Because there is no K in Nicholas so why should there be a K in Nic". That is when I knew for sure that's my boy, standing up for his rights and hassling the teachers.He is now eleven years old and I have no clue where the time went.
In 2002 after eight years of dating we decided to get married. We had a wonderful wedding, with all our friends and family in attendance. You should have seen the after party (the party after the reception). If I could remember it I would tell you all about it, but I hear it was great.
Only a month later we found out we were pregnant with our second child. Due to due to complications there was a miscarriage. That was a hard blow for us to take. The pregnancy wasn't far along, but we had already told family our news.
Just about the time we were accepting the reality of what just happened we found out we were expecting again. Nine months later, and only 3 days before our 1st anniversary, Callie was the newest addition to our family. She came out screaming and crying. She is now three and she still hasn't stopped. She is the payback child everyone told me I would have one day. She doesn't follow any rules, she always does what she wants when she wants. We thought we were done having children since we now had both a boy and a girl. Callie has slowed us down dramatically. I really think our picture is on the walls of several local restaurants with "DO NOT SERVE" written across it.
Seven months later out of the blue in 2004 we found out yet again we were expecting another baby. This time we asked around about what could be causing this. HAHA. Finally someone told us why we keep having kids, the wife blames ME. So we told the doctor to tie the tubes because three kids are enough. Megan was born and she is an easy baby, not at all like her older sister. She is now two years old and agrees with just about anything you tell her. Unless it's "not fair!"
