Upon entering Moon, guests are immediately on notice they have arrived at a dramatic, surreal environment unlike any other in Las Vegas or the world. The floor is covered with shimmering glass tiles of various shapes and sizes, which change color via a computerized lighting system as guests move about them, while a curtain of glass beads, upon which videos are projected, hang over the majestic floor-to-ceiling windows that endow the 12,500-square foot club with incredible views of the iconic landmarks on the Las Vegas Strip. A celestial palette of gold, yellow, nickel and silver give the club a sexy, sultry sheen, while a VIP room to the left of the entrance is ensconced in a translucent yellow glass mosaic that generates the kind of mystical lunar vision one could not possibly find on street level. Unlike The N9NE Group’s 30,000-square foot Rain, Moon is intimate and exclusive—but every bit as hot. As DeGraff, the lead designer, comments, “As a boutique night club, Moon lacks the size of Rain or other Vegas mega-clubs, but it is like nothing else on the planet.†___________________________________________________ The club’s main room boasts what is arguably the most spectacular architectural feature in Las Vegas—a massive retractable roof that opens up to provide a mind-blowing view of the stars. When closed, the ceiling serves as one of the largest video screens in the world, exhibiting giant images of the action on the dance floor or anywhere else in the club from a series of moveable cameras and projectors. When the roof retracts—accompanied by theatrical music and a spectacular laser and fog show, the scene becomes even more incredible. Often, it is not until the fog dissipates that all guests become fully aware there is no longer a roof above them and that they are now one with the universe. On a dance floor packed with heavenly bodies (a N9NE Group signature) almost 600 feet above teeming Las Vegas Boulevard, guests feel suspended in the sexy desert sky as the roof above their heads opens up to the moon and stars. Morton is quick to point out, “There are indoor venues and outdoor venues, but nobody in Las Vegas has ever done this before.†____________________________________________________ Cushy booths along the perimeter of Moon’s main room provide fantastic views of the city’s glittering skyline. And with platforms for dancing behind and between these booths—with the incredible Las Vegas skyline just a kiss away—there is no more surrealistic a place to get one’s groove on as the night heats up. In the rear, another bar and two ultra-lounge-style rooms accommodate guests seeking a sensual, laid-back experience. Two dramatic steel-and-glass staircases, with handrails emitting a constantly changing spectrum of colors, lead patrons upstairs to an even more exclusive mezzanine level, where a spectacular VIP balcony, coveted by celebrities, provides sensational views from what feels like outer space. Any private event held in this dramatic, over-the-top space will be long remembered. ____________________________________________________ The bars at this exclusive penthouse club, staffed by expert mixologists, serve a wide assortment of classic and contemporary cocktails, including signature drinks customized for the Moon scene. There is also a full range of premium tequilas, single-malt Scotches, international vodkas, and other top spirits, not to mention a selection of beers from around the globe and a world-class wine list. For special events, up to 500 guests can be accommodated by The N9NE Group’s state-of-the-art kitchen, which can provide anything from caviar service with cases of Cristal to a multi-course fusion menu designed by an acclaimed N9NE Group chef.
