CONTEMPORARY, SLEEK, AND ONE STEP AHEAD N9NE STEAKHOUSE IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN.
N9NE debuted in Chicago in April of 2000. The positive reception by the media graced N9NE with many reviews and accolades, including N9NE named best new restaurant of 2000 by Chicago Magazine. The Chicago Sun-Times labeled N9NE, Chicago’s hottest restaurant. According to the Chicago Tribune’s 3-star review, N9NE is “a restaurant that’s loaded with so much visual flash and so many luxury dining ingredientsâ€. . .and the restaurant offers “a singular dining experience – even though it’s a straightforward steak-and-seafooder at heartâ€.
Located in the Daniel Burnham-designed building now known as Randolph Place, N9NE combines the best elements of a classic steakhouse, featuring prime aged steaks, with a contemporary American flair in both menu and design. A 20’ waterfall greets guests on arrival. Center stage of this dramatic 13,500 square foot restaurant is a circular granite champagne and caviar bar featuring the finest champagnes and Russian caviar.
Seating for the main dining room is 325 for a sit down lunch or dinner, and up to 500 for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The entire restaurant is available for groups up to 800, with a full restaurant buy-out price based on time, day of the week and availability.
The menu features the freshest seafood from both coasts with an emphasis on lobster, oysters and Ahi tuna. N9NE offers an international blend of American cuisine with specialties such as sashimi N9NE and caviar parfaits. N9NE’s pastry chef continues the eclectic mix with root beer floats and house made sorbets. N9NE’s high ceiling incorporates a silver leafed dome continually transformed with 100 variations of primary colors, casting a glow of rich vibrant hues, while hefty columns glitter with square mirrored mosaics. Sleek lounges flank the elevated main bar.
Separated by a glass wall from the main dining room is one of the private dining rooms. This room seats up to 72 guests for a sit down dinner, adding the adjacent lounge for mingling during a reception prior to dinner. A retractable wall can divide the space into two separate dining rooms for groups of 20-30 guests each. Private cocktail and passed hors d’oeuvre receptions can be accommodated in this room as well.
