Emetik a été formé en octobre 2004, dans la région d’Avignon (Sud Est de la France) sous l’impulsion de Yo (composition guitare - batterie), JC (chant) et Caro (basse). Les premières compositions, influencées death et doom métal, voient leur enregistrement se concrétiser en novembre 2005 avec une première démo.
Le groupe tend à se renforcer scéniquement, avec des premières parties de Leiden ou encore Lifekit. Avec l'arrivée de Fab à la guitare soliste et le passage de Yo derrière les fûts, Emetik entame sa mutation musicale. La maturité se sent venir et les morceaux gagnent en puissance, technique, précision et vitesse.
Alliant le mélodique et l’agressif, Emetik ne laisse pas indifférent et sait se faire remarquer avec des concerts avec SUP et Otargos notamment.
Le nouvel EP 6 titres, An Endemic Disease, enregistré et pré-mixé par maitre Zool et masterisé par Adrien Sauvaget sortira en avril 2008, où une série de concerts devrait débuter.

Emetik was formed in October 2004 in Avignon (south west of France) by Yo (guitar composer and drum), JC (vocals) and Caro (bass). The very first songs, influenced by death and doom metal, have been recorded as a first demo.
The band grew up trough live experiences with bands such as Leiden or Lifekit. With Fab as guitarist and Yo behind drums, Maturity came naturally and songs increased in power, technique, precision, and speed.
From Melodic to aggressive sounds, Emetik drew attention through live performances with bands like SUP and Otargos.
The new EP (6 tracks), called An Endemic Disease, recorded and mixed by Master Zool and masterised by Adrien Sauvaget will be out early April 2008. Some new concerts are planned, so stay tuned!
