The Sonz Of Lazarus Return

About Me

Tango And Illmeezy are the Yin and Yang of the Southern Dialect Family. Two forces that appear opposite, but actually move in a synergy that's amazing to behold. They are very different, but actually very alike. They are as honest as they can be when they tell you that they are full of sh*t. They will break bones in the defense of peace. They are the Truth of the Lie, and the Lie of the Truth. They are at their hardest when they are being soft. Truth be told, they are the living representation of the Chaos Theory. And that's the animal that survives... In this beast called BiznessMuzik, if you can't adapt, you die. But rapid reproduction is not the truth of evolution. That's only procreation. Just because there's more of you than another species doesn't make you the apex predator, it just means that there's more of you to eat. Everybody thinks they are fit to survive. I guess we'll see then, won't we? Sometimes you have to be different to be the same... and sometimes you are the same when you think you're different. And sometimes that tree branch is a Praying Mantis ready to rip your head off and eat you slowly. Welcome to the Dead Zone. Hiphop is real again...
Tango and Illmortal (Illmeezy) met in 1999, but you would have thought they were separated at birth. They both have individual accomplishments, Illmortal paying dues in the Memphis underground with members of Homicyde, and Tango writing and co-producing for K-Nock from 95 South. Ill was almost immediately drafted into the Southern Dialect Family, but his chemistry with Tango was apparent from the very first time they blessed a mic together. In 2000-2001, Southern Dialect signed with Vigilante Records (in Jacksonville) and prepared to release their first project. Financial backing for the project fell through, and they went back to the drawing board (Tango) and the day job (Illmeezy). They continued writing and recording, but not full-time or at full commitment. In 2005, Southern Dialect decided that the time had come for their individual crews to record their own projects. Ill and Tango decided this was the perfect opportunity to introduce the world to their offbeat humor, irreverent attitudes, and hardcore but playful braggadocio. Choosing to step out as a duo and represent the Dead Zone Dwellaz (the full group consists of Tango, Ill, Tza, Loccsta, Mr. Predata, Joz, DXpert, and Pistol Clip, some active, some inactive, but still DZ). They reunited with Chase Willett of the re-invented and re-invigorated Vigilante Records. Their charm and appeal almost seems universal. Their project "The Dragon & The Phoenix" (April '06) is their initial offering to the public to reacquaint their old fans, capture some new fans, and show the Hiphop world that it's okay to just be you again... It's the return of the Gold Chain Gang!

FloRida! New Track!

Yeah, I've been telling people for awhile, "We're working on this album" and we are... it's not exactly a linear process. You make beats, you write to them, if you feel it's ready, then you record it....
