About Me

K.R. (which stands for Kenneth Robinson) is from Atlanta, GA via Baltimore, MD. He has been writing lyrics for as long as he can remember, but really got serious about the music once moving to Atlanta in 1998. After rolling with various crews, he went solo and recorded his first album "Only Sleepers Dream". It was an extremely underground hip hop project influenced mainly by underground east coast hip hop. The album did not do much as far as response and sales go. After recieving a copy of Marilyn Manson's AntiChrist Superstar album, K.R. decided to change the way he wrote music. This is the point where he started to become the artist he is today. Around this time he decided to take about two years off from writing any music at all and just study how music was composed, not just hip hop. Some of the artist(s) he studied were Steely Dan, Black Sabbath, Korn, Portishead, Mos Def, Ying Yang Twins, Ludacris, Omar, Jay-Z, Les Claypool, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Alicia Keys, Andre 3000, System of a Down, and Van Halen just to name a few. Adding these types of musical influences with living in the sex culture of Atlanta, The Vagitarian was born. Even though all the music is not about sex, most of the music being recorded right now is a direct influence of this "sex culture", but since K.R. came up as an underground artist, the lyrical content is still there. "Most of the songs that I write just come naturally. I write the melodies before I even think of the words." K.R.'s sound can best be described as mix between Korn/Marylin Manson mixed with Ludacris/Ying Yang Twins. The style itself could be described as pornography on wax. With songs like "Shaved Pussy", "Naturally Horny", and "Tag Team (2 on 1), K.R. speaks in a graphic nature that many artist wouldnt dare to go. Not since 2 Live Crew has one heard some true pornography on wax. Well, its back!!!!
