About Me

Welcome to Turfway Park!
Whether you're a veteran horseplayer, a casual fan, or merely curious about horseracing, Turfway Park puts you right up close to the Sport of Kings.
Turfway offers live Thoroughbred racing during the fall, winter, and early spring. You'll see the best racing in the Tri-State at Turfway, including the $500,000 Lane's End Stakes and the Kentucky Cup Day of Champions.
And we're open all year for simulcast racing from top tracks around the country. From New York to California, it's always post time somewhere!
Admission is free every day except Lane's End day in the spring, and parking is free all the time.
And we have plenty of room for your next party. Add the excitement of Thoroughbred racing to great food and service, and you've got a party your guests will never forget.
2007 Holiday Meet November 25--December 31
Post time Wednesday-Friday: 5:30 p.m. Post time Saturday-Sunday: 1:10 p.m. Exception: Open Wednesday, December 26, through Monday, December 31: post time 1:10 p.m. Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
2008 Winter/Spring Meet January 1--April 3
Post time Wednesday-Friday: 5:30 p.m. Post time Saturday-Sunday: 1:10 p.m. Exception: Open Monday, January 1: post time 1:10 p.m. Post time on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3: 12:00 noon Closed Easter Sunday. Lane's End Stakes: Saturday, March 22.
2008 Fall Meet September 4--October 3 (pending approval by KHRA)
Post time Wednesday-Friday: 7:00 p.m. Post time Saturday-Sunday: 1:10 p.m. Kentucky Cup Day of Champions: Saturday, September 27.
Gates open 11:15 a.m. Mutuel windows open 30 minutes before the first simulcast race.
All times Eastern. Times may vary for Kentucky Cup and Lane's End days.

The Homestretch Restaurant Enjoy live racing from the Homestretch restaurant, casual dining trackside on the first floor. Catch simulcast action on screens around the room, or get an up-close view with individual TVs available at many tables. All areas non-smoking effective August 20. Reservations recommended during live racing. Call (859) 371-0200.
Fall Meet Weekend Buffets
Friday, 5:00 - 8:30 p.m.: Prime Rib Dinner Buffet, $13.95
Saturday, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.: Lunch Buffet, $9.95
Buffet service offered during live racing only. Full menu and concessions available all year.

On Saturday, June 7th, you're invited to hoof it over to Turfway and join us for Frog's Belmont Bash. Pick the ponies at Belmont Park throughout the day, then watch Big Brown go for the Crown. It's a full day of Rock 'n Racing thanks to Turfway and the Station that's always looking to Stir-up Trouble...102.7 WEBN!!!

The Paddock Shop at Turfway Park

Visit the Paddock Shop for Turfway Park logo apparel, jewelry, equine-themed items for your home, scented candles, toys, games, framed artwork by former jockey Tom Chapman, limited edition memorabilia from the Lane's End Stakes, and much more.

The Paddock Shop is located in the lobby of the paddock entrance and is open during live racing hours. At other times, stop in the general office and we'll be glad to help you.
