TANIQ (TAlent uNIQue) is a Soul/Hip-Hop duo that not only blend musically, but the soulmates blend together through love as newlyweds. "Miko" is a Chicago native and is the consummate all-around entertainer- he writes, produces, sings, dances, and brings an element of theater to live performances. His style is Funk dipped in Soul, stirred with Jazz, and sprinkled with Hip-Hop. Carolyn is a Houston, TX native who began lifting Spirits at the age of 3 singing in church. Her vocal arrangements have been inspired by Jazz music and Ella Fitzgerald.Taniq exemplifies the resurgence of live instrumentation, socially-conscious lyrics, and dynamic showmanship.Taniq’s live studio EP captures the energy and excitement of their live shows. The songs deal with relationships and spirituality.Taniq became a fixture in the live-music circuit in Chicago where they maintained a loyal following as one of Chicagos hottest up-and- coming Soul bands.
