Today has been one of those days that you’ve done literally everything else you can on MySpace, so the only thing left to do is update your profile.
I’ve been classified as someone who is difficult to classify. I’m certainly not the average early twenties male, at least not in most respects. I’ve experienced many of life’s highs and lows, which has molded me into the individual I am. I’m honest, to a fault, in fact. I’ve never understood the idea behind sugar-coating things, so you’ll never see me do it. I think due in part to that, I know when I’m being lied to, and don’t tolerate it for even a minute. I’m intelligent, and will use it to my benefit at any given time. I'm a hopeless romantic, which doesn't tend to pan out in this day and age, and yet despite that fact, I'm not willing to change my stance. I’m also a bit jaded, though try to maintain a somewhat positive outlook on life. I very well could be the world’s first and only cynical optimist; Someone who doesn’t expect the worst, but is anything but surprised when it happens.
There are other various things that make up aspects of my personality, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1950’s culture [namely music, movies, artwork, pin-ups, rockabilly as a whole, fashion and literature], feng shui, photography, writing [anything from blogs to poetry to journalism], interior design, symmetry, club-hopping, drink-mixing, being a music snob [which I totally am, just so you're aware], world travel, individuality, hair styles and colors that are off the beaten path, personal style and really just doing your own thing.
I have many different groups of many different friends, all of whom are amazing, and some of whom have worked their way into my life so deeply that they have become my family. They are some of the most incredible, beautiful, and genuine people the world has ever known, and I am always thankful to have them as major factors in my life.
Just like practically everyone else on MySpace, I have a deep, abounding love and respect for music and those who create it. I, however, have a bit more ammunition than the rest of the masses. For 23 years, I have been raised, taught, motivated, built-up, torn down, killed and brought back to life by music. My life has consisted of things like playing the piano for the past 17 years and going to at least one concert a month since age 16, building a music library of over 20,000 songs and DJing at the club, working for radio stations and writing music reviews in three separate publications. Pretty obviously, music has become one of the primary elements of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
