snowboarding, mountain bikes, backpacking, tinkering with computer networks and technology, working with the Boy Scouts of America, native american culture and dance, writing music, playing various video games (Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Guitar Hero, Metal Gear Solid, Metroid, Shin Megami Tensei, Silent Hill, Suikoden and others), reading manga and watching anime, and doing whatever strikes my wife's and kids fancy :).
Anyone, really :). I've already seen a lot of people I remember from way back when.
On a purely artistic standpoint, I would love to meet three people and pick their brains musically:
Michiru Yamane (the woman behind the most memorable "Castlevania" music)
Nobuo Uematsu (the man behind the most memorable "Final Fantasy" music)
Shoji Meguro (the man behind the most memorable "Shin Megami Tensei" music)
I'd love to meet Juliana HAtfield, my favorite indie girl of all time:
I have a request for those looking to add me as a friend:
I would really appreciate it if you would send me a message, and tell me WHY you want to add me... it eliminates guessing games. For those looking for love, I'm married with three kids, not looking to lose either, so I'm *not* a good candidate in that department. I have *zero* interest in people who are trying to just add as many friends as possible, or use their MySpace pages merely as a redirect for a Webcam or marketing a product. If you don't fit those categories just mentioned, and you still want to add me, then by all means, say hello, and let me know why you want to add me (do we know some of the same people? Do we share interests? Are you an old friend from the club scene? Did we compete together once in USASA? What is it? Let me know!).

I'm into just about anything if it's well crafted and has passion behind it. blues, metal, alternative, punk, classical, R&B/Funk, jazz, old-school hip-hop, world music, bluegrass, gypsy folk songs, whatever... I'm an avid seeker of video game scores, and have developed a great respect for game music composers (I'm a total fanboy of Michiru Yamane, Akira Yamaoka, Nobuo Uematsu, and Shoji Maguro). Short list of favories: Castlevania, Shin Megami Tensei, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, etc. If some of this sounds interesting to you, check out Galbadia Hotel for a *huge* repository of video game music.
The Beatles: A Hard Day's Night, Real Genius, The Princess Bride, Casablanca, Rosenkrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, Castle in the Sky, plus just about any James Bond film (my guilty pleasure). If there are more "making of" features than the actual movie on the DVD, I'm a happy guy (LOL!). I am a fan of sci-fi, historical drama and action. I love movies with memorable quotes that my family and I can throw around. I'm a huge fan of Japanese animation (Otaku and proud of it :) ), classic or CGI. I'm currently watching on DVD the complete Platinum Edition of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I tend to watch what my kids watch, which for now means *lots* of Cartoon Network, Anime and Anime-style knockoffs (Naruto, the Prince of Tennis, MÄR, etc.) plus a few titles I watch sans kids (Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, and Neon Genesis Evangelion). I'm also a fan of "Lost" and "the Dog Whisperer" (Cesar Millan is a total pimp :) ). Otherwise, most of my TV time is used to watch DVD's or play video games.
Unless you're into technology, computers, networking, programming and databases, my current reading would likely bore you to tears (LOL!). I'm aiming to get MCDBA, MCSA and MCSE certification, a process that will likely take the better part of a few years. Actually, I do indulge in a little free time reading by reading various Manga series: "Bleach", "Fullmetal Alchemist", "MÄR", "Naruto", "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Suikoden III" all rate high on my fanboy reading list (yeah I know, how *very* mature of me (LOL!) ).
My grandmother Kathleen was the greatest person ever in my life. I miss her lots.
