      Grey, born in Humbolt Park Projects in Chicago, moved and grew up in Midwood, Brooklyn. Hip-hop culture grabbed him and soon his appreciation grew into insight. Rigorously shaping himself as a writer and emcee Grey aimed to always be creative and versatile without losing consistency. Practice was heated lyrical battles and books of verse, filled with the mute hues and highlights in his life, which exhibit realism and sensitivity.
     â€œI’ve been training for years to get where I’m at,†says Grey alluding to the lifestyle of a veteran boxer - “I’m physically ready for battle, as well as mentally. I’ve done a lot of pushups, so you know the punch lines are gonna be official.â€
      This Chinese and Puerto Rican emcee, who has been writing for the past 14 years is quickly becoming the industries best kept secret. Grey has performed in venues such as Club Exit, Club Speed (Shelter), Club Shine,Club Ovations, Import Xpression Car Show Tour 2002-2003, In London @ Club Corinet, Rikers Island C-95, HIN Philly Car Show, head lined in the Jump Off Tri state college tour, Harlem Week P&B Fashion show, Nassau Coliseum, Press Day, and rocked the mic at the Boston Celebrity Car show to name a few. He has also made appearances on Hip-Hop Station, HeadHunters Fight Club DVD, RIX Magazine, IRT Dvd Magazine and Hoodz TV. He also recently appeared in the 50 Cent / Mobb Deep video Outta Control and was chosen to participate in the Napster Artist Registry Program. Grey has opened for an array of artists such as Camron and Dip-Set, Obie Trice, Black Rob, Cuban Link, Triple Seis, Young Gunz, Petey Pablo, Lumidee, Da Band, and The Clipse. Many have embraced Grey, as his recently released mix tape The Best Of Grey Vol.3 (Hosted by DJ Virman from LA Power 106) has moved 14,000 Units, with all 3 of his mixtapes moving a total of 32,000 units.
      Grey appeals to various audiences. With his first solo offering, “Storybook,†tracks like “Love Letter†and “Great Ones†will speak to female listeners giving them a preview of Grey’s sensitivity to women and witty approach to relationships with verses like “I’m the type to fly to Belgium for breakfast, the type to put a diamond clasp on your necklace.†He flips verses and metaphors over innovative tracks such as “Power Of A Dollar†and “Invincible.†He smoothly maneuvers from punch line filled free styling, to introspective waves of lyrics. Grey disarmingly demonstrates his ability to shape his voice and mood to different tempos and subject matters. Some of his inspiration can be accredited to artists such as Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Eminem, Nas, and Jay-Z. A lot of artists are one-sided, life is not one-sided says Grey.
