About Me

If you can believe it, the illustration is for work. MTV wanted to do little bios for each person on my team, and gave us creative control of our images. So this is what I came up with. Okay, so maybe I've watched a few too many music videos. Anyways, as for me, I'm really, really fortunate because much of what I do in life whether work, play, whatever, revolves around something I truly love and am passionate about, which is of course, hip-hop. I had to work a 9 to 5 for four years that was completely unrelated, so I know how disheartening and discouraging it can be to feel like you're wasting your talents. No time to dwell on that though because I'm currently stuck in the biggest rat race in America living in New York City, where a 400 Sq Ft studio costs as much as a three bedroom townhouse in most other places. Getting older and wanting to achieve goals that many young professionals aspire to (you know, owning a crib, having a little paper in the bank, and being finanically comfortable), you'll have to excuse me if I'm slightly preoccupied with trying to get money right now. But I do realize that life is about way more than salary and status, so I try my best to get at least one stamp on my passport a year, read as much as possible, and always make time for friends and family.

My Interests

Rock Climbing, Reading, Music, Sneakers, Drinking, Sleeping, Cooking, Traveling, Chess

Music:

Hip-hop all day. Dip Set, Young Jeezy, Clipse, Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent, Jay-Z, T.I., Game, Lil' Wayne, Wu-Tang, Nas... Too many to name. I'm the one dude that'll be in the club mad because the DJ is doing their little "Michael Jackson or Prince" set (apparently my boys that spin say that's what the girls wanna hear).

Movies:

Casino, Oldboy, Juice, Paid In Full, Menance II Society, Shawshank Redemption, City Of Gods, Bourne Identity, American Psycho, Good Fellas, Chungking Express, Hitch, Walk The Line, 25th Hour, American History X

Television:

Entourage, Wire, Sopranos, NBA games, and Boxing

Books:

I'm reading Huey: Spirit Of The Panther by David Hilliard. It's really disturbing hearing how corrupt the government is and how they used COINTELPRO to purposely bring down the Black Panthers. They were literally murdering people. It's defintely an eye-opening book, as if you really needed more evidence of how fucked up our government is.
