Whiskey Train

The Less Air-Played Classic Rock

About Me

The Whiskey Train Band is a classic rock band, playing the harder-edged and more obscure material with a few well-known tunes for good measure. The band plays in and around Denver, Colorado. Look for information about upcoming gigs.....................................................Ron uses ESP and Gibson guitars, Zoom and Cry-Baby effects and Laney classic amps. Rick uses Gibson guitars and Marshall amps. Phil uses Evans custom drums, and Sabian and Zyldjian cymbals. Lucky uses Carvin and Spector basses and Carvin Red Line amps.

My Interests

Harder-edged classic rock, biker bars, ice-cold beer, loud-screaming guitars, thumping bass, badass drums and great vocals. Oh yeah, and having a GREAT time on-stage.

I'd like to meet:

Other musicians, other band members, anyone into classic rock, anyone in the music BIZ and any fans or friends.

In no particular order: Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Pat Travers, Procol Harem, Johnny Winter, Ronnie James Dio, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Grand Funk Railroad, The James Gang, Earl Slick, Tommy Bolin, ZZ Top, Wishbone Ash, Cream, Ronnie Montrose, Traffic, Free, Bad Company, The Rolling Stones, Blackfoot, The Who, David Lee Roth, Golden Earring, Robin Trower, Rory Gallagher, Ten Years After, Captain Beyond and probably a dozen others that we keep forgetting to list.

Movies:

Too busy jamming or playing gigs.

Heroes:

Anyone that has picked up the guitar and made it sing, cry, scream, soar and bear it's soul.
