Music:
I love pretty much any genre of music. Some of my favorite artists are Damien Rice, Staind, and Korn. It all depends on my mood. I have music for every occasion. Thanks to Nate, I have a small liking of country. Namely Brad Paisley. It is all about the lyrics and the emotions behind the words. Rap and Hip hop doesn't really do it for me because the songs tend to have no feeling. They are just ramblings about nonsense with unoriginal beats.
Movies:
I love movies. Every now and then I love a good psycological mind-fuck scare. I am a girl so of course I do love my pathetic 90's chic-flicks. But I will watch almost anything. If it has Johnny Depp in it I'll watch it. Anything by Tim Burton, I'll watch. He's brilliant.
Television:
CSI is my favorite show right now. The orignal one. The cast is perfectly blended, the scripts are clever, easy to follow and totally believable which is hard to find right now. I also love Gilmore Girls. I know. Sad. But something about that show always makes me laugh and keeps me entertained.
Books:
It's been awhile since I've read a good book. I love the classics. Shakespeare, Poe, Thoreau. A friend of mine gave a book by Khalil Gibhran. It is basically a spiritual exploration. A compendium of poetry and prose. Some really beautiful and inspiring stuff.
Heroes:
I'm not really sure I have any. The closest I can think of being my heroes are Nate, Josh, and Wayne. They were all in the Army together. Airborne. They were the first unit to go to Afganistan and did a tour in Iraq. Josh had to go back. He got hurt and is back in the States. They are heroes of the country and for me. They went through hell and managed to survive and come back and continue living after seeing and doing all that they did. Constant survival makes you a hero.
