BIOGRAPHY / INTRODUCTION:
Jaqueline is a hard-hitting power trio from Elverum, Norway, which offers a fine blend of rock music, drawing influences from many corners of the wide history of rock'n roll. The band consists of Morten Wærhaug (Rhythm guitar, Vocals), Marius Drogsås Hagen (Bass, Vocals) and Bjarne Ryen Berg (Drums). The foundation of Jaqueline's music is based on 70's classic rock and heavy metal, with a pinch of the 90's alternative rock scene. On top of this foundation, Jaqueline has built a trademark wall of sound, which carries on the torch of some timeless qualities: Good riffs, thundering bass, rock-solid drumming, combined with tasty vocal harmonies. A band that really works. With songs that really work. Throw in a decent amount of originality, dynamics and experience - and you've got Jaqueline.
Achievements: Rave reviews nationwide on their two album-releases, "Idiots" (2005) and "Reaping Machines" (2006), both recieving the score 5 / 6 in Norway's three biggest newspapers; VG, Dagbladet and Aftenposten. Official By:Larm artist 2007. "Ukas urørt" on NRK P3 radio in July 2006. Multiple interviews and features in the nationwide press; NRK P3 (Harald Are Lund, Pyro, Urørt), NRK P2, Kanal24, P4, Dagbladet, TV2, Moox TV, Scream Magazine. Over 130 gigs in their belts, including two extensive tours in Norway, alongside with support gigs for WE, Amulet, Ricochets, Animal Alpha and Stonegard. Booked twice for Terje Håkonsen's infamous "The Artic Challenge"-event. Three successful music videos aired frequently on ZTV and NRK Svisj.
