Wolverines was formed in mid 2006 by Eirik Haukland on guitar and Daniel Wakim on drums. Eirik had loads of riffs and song-ideas, and they started working them out and arranging them. Wakim left the band in januar 2007.
Axe-man Morten Gottschalk (Sonic Bandits) joined the band at the same time, followed by Bjørn Yngve Kinzler on organ and rhodes, and later, Jan-Vegard Nilsen (both Autotune) on bass. Tore Kristian Lie (Tsunami and Sigh and Explode) helped them by taking care of the skin beating from time to time, but in September he was replaced by Carl Svensson (Plastic Pride). In January 2008, Carl was regrettably forced to leave the band, and Doudou (The Sons of Saturn) entered the drum seat. Doudou left the band in march. We only use drummers for 3 months, then they are out.
Wolverines’ first EP, Who’s Gonna Know (As Long as We Keep it to Ourselves)?, was well received, and earned them "Band of the Week" on NRK Petre’s Urørt, and a nomination to "Band of the Month" on Radio Tango .
