About Me

Guitarist of the Dutch death / grind band Desensitised .
I've been listening to metal since 1986 and I started playing the guitar in 1993. My major influences were/are all those great and special old-school death metal bands from the early 90s, especially Carcass.
In 1994 I founded my first band with a friend of mine called Catafalque. We recorded a demo called " Your Final Ride" in 1995 and played lots of gigs with bands like Dead Infection, Rot, Rebaelliun, Agathocles and many more.
With Catafalque we changed our name into DESENSITISED in late 2001 as we had experienced many line-up changes and we wanted to release our first CD.
So from 2001 on I have played in DESENSITISED.
We have released 2 MCDs ("Thriving on carnage" in 2002 and "Bought Beauty" in 2004) and we recorded our first full length CD " Virus of violence " in April 2005, which was released on Pathos Productions (USA) this summer.
We play live regularly and have shared the stage with bands like Arch Enemy, Suffocation, Pungent Stench, Master and Impaled Nazarene.
