About Me

Born and raised in Memphis, TN where I played little league, went to school, ate fudge rounds at lunch, fought with my little brother, made fun of other kids, never did homework, got made fun of by other kids, made straight A's, started playing guitar, quit playing baseball, got a job in radio, started a band, lost my radio job, got a real job, got engaged, band broke up, got my radio job back, quit my real job, got disengaged, quit my interim job to get my real job back, quit the real job again to take my current gig as a radio producer/marketing director in Atlanta, GA...that's about it.I like playing guitar, watching baseball, and acting like I know everything. I also like bitching about stuff, like how bad of an actor Nicolas Cage is. It's all shit that I can't do anything about, but it keeps me sane.I really don't like Al Sharpton. I like Al Green though...and Al Yankovic. My penmanship sucks, but I can type like a demon. Well, if a demon was hell's stenographer.I've dressed up as Wolverine for Halloween twice in the past 4 years. Needless to say, I own it.I can't watch hockey on TV.....

Law AND Order

It's always on. No matter the day or time, it's always on. Most times, I watch CI or SVU on USA, but I'll flip to TNT if the original is on. No one argues a case with the conviction of Jack McCoy, ...

The Price is WRONG, Bitch.

As many of you know, Bob Barker has announced his retirement from The Price is Right after a 35 year tenure as the show's host.  Barker has become an institution in most households, giving away m...

The Fall of Icons

Today I was driving to work.  I ususally break out the iPod and listen to some mid-nineties rock like Helmet or Quicksand, or maybe something newer such as Thrice or ETID. This morning, I decided...

knuckeball

So I've decided that the only way that I'm going to make it to the Major Leagues is to develop a nasty knuckle ball.  My fastball tops out at about 65 mph, which just isn't going to cut it. ...

Redefining Audacity One Drink at a Time.

I retract my aforementioned definition of audacity.  I'll call taking babies to horror movies "ridiculous". Audacity was redefined in the wee hours of Sunday morning.  I'll spare details in ...

Definition of Audacity

So Dutch and I went to go see the super-hyped Eli Roth thriller Hostel at Phipps Plaza tonight.  While the movie wasn't as shocking or outrageous as billed, what I saw afterward was:  A gent...

Mexican Guitars

This is a song my buddy Dave and I have been collaborating on.  He came up with the idea a couple of years ago, during the legendary Gimme Two Utah's sessions in his kitchen.  It was d...

Pull this bus over to the shoulder of the highway of pretentiousness.

What happened to the guy's guy? The kind of fella who drinks both kinds of beer: cold and free. The guy who reads books about war, economics, and foreign war. The man who would prefer handing out an a...
