Call it what you will. Post-hardcore. Modern rock. Alternative. CHARLIE HUSTLE just call it music. Sometimes aggressive and abrasive, sometimes ambient and atmospheric, the Atlanta-based quartet concentrate on songs that have enormous hooks and teach a lesson in dynamics. They set out to create music that they not only want to hear, but that provides a breath of fresh air for tired and bored music lovers longing for something new and creative. CHARLIE HUSTLE do not reinvent the wheel, they just insist on putting a new tread on it. By implementing creative tunings, odd time signatures, and drawing on influences such as Quicksand, Far, Portishead, Bad Brains, and many more, they have created a sound that is completely original, yet still very accessible. 3/4 of the members have been playing together for the better part of a decade. After numerous frontmen, vocalist Joe Voisin has finally completed the puzzle. The timing is now right.
CHARLIE HUSTLE’s explosive debut EP, Celebration for the Bride, is a raw and unrelenting torrent of beautifully crafted, melodic rock where every track seems to leap off the burner with a frenetic, white-hot intensity. It is a record that virtually crackles with energy; a seamless melding of loud, breakneck guitars, rousing rhythms, and heartfelt vocals boiling over with passion and cathartic spirit. Intelligent, focused, and driven to push the boundaries of their craft, CHARLIE HUSTLE are now poised to make their mark. Celebration is their fiery, guitar-laced introduction to the world.
