MEXICO CITY. i (joel) will probably be staying there to live and work and will never be heard from again. i cant wait. but in the meantime we have some other projects were working on to stay sharp. first we have a friend of ours named Todd C. He plays in Toys that Kill, Underground Railroad to Candyland and was formerly in F.Y.P. He has a new project called TC and The BC or Todd C and The Bible Children. Its basically Todd playing some of his stuff with us (dios) playing as his backup band. dios are the bible children. everyone pretty much plays the same instruments with joel helping out on backup vocals. we'll put some samples of that stuff up soon. then as mentioned before Todd's other bands include Underground Railroad To Candyland. this has been a new band of his for a while but lately joel has been sitting in on B3 organ. he fills out the sound and is pretty much the sid vicious of the group. we highly recommend you catch any shows these two projects are playing. you wont regret it.these are other musical option dios is glad to bring the music loving people of LA.in other news joel also just finished recording Underground Railroad to Candylands debut CD at Dumb Angel studios, where most of the dios stuff is recorded. he thinks its pretty good, and apparently he speaks in 3rd person. it should be out by late fall. on vinyl even!! joel will also be recording various friends and side projects he has and put them up on our myspace for anyone interested.the recess records vinyl ALBUM ep thats been promised for a while will finally be coming out a little before the new record comes out. its gonna be on Recess Records subdivision label called "Recess Reserve". apparently were too avant garde for the punk rock division of recess BUT its gonna be 001 of the new label. Exciting! Joel, Kelly, Kevin, and Chad Badd are moving in together in San Pedro. Nice two story house at just the right price. There was no way Joel was ever moving to silverlake, echo park, or the hollywood area, so he decided to go where the real artists and musicians are. The scene down there is gonna EXPLODE. Look out for shit coming out of Recess Records, Recess Reserve, and other Long Beach and San Pedro affiliated outlets.Theres a dios interview with joel (who NEVER does interviews anymore cause he hates jackass rock journalists) in the next issue of The Rise And Fall.
