WELCOME FOOLISH MORTALS
Those are the words you all hear when you enter my home. The words are ironic since, in your current mortal state, you are not truely welcome. That privelage is only extended to a select few "happy haunts", as I call them, who have heard a certain call and taken up residence in this, my mouldering sanctum. Should you choose to return, death certificate in hand, then you can take your place in the endless celebration of un-living we enjoy here.
My name is William Gracey, the current master of the house. I was many things prior to meeting my untimely fate here in the mansion. At first I was the good son, loyal and obediant with a good work ethic and a tendency to get lost in adventures that only took place in my own mind. Seeking real adventure, I went to sea, where I worked my way up to first mate on a trading vessel. It was on that ship that I learned the value of hard work. It was also on that ship I learned the value of seizing the moment and taking care of myself, which eventually led me to a life of piracy.
We all have our destinies, Mine must have been to be the master of this house, since it seemed that every choice I made, every twist and turn in my life, was leading me to this place and preparing me for more then a lifetime of being around ghouls, ghosts and spirits. As a young man I imagined the fantastic and learned to believe the unbelievable. As a pirate I became comfortable with things that frighten normal people.
