I began playing the guitar at the age of 16 when I was residing in Canada. It wasn't long before I formed a three-piece band called Target Relief with a couple of guys from my high school. The first to approach me was a then-drummer Jason Adams(currently fronting The Imperial Playground). Upon spending some frustrating time searching for the right bass player, we decided to bring my friend Brett Pendleton(known also for his Pendleton Project) into the band. Shortly after, the band changed the name to Fusillade, and continued to create great music and performing a number(not many, but hey...) of live shows.
Unfortunately, the musical differences among the band members led me to leave the band. Upon Leaving Fusillade(who later changed the name to Liquid), I set out on a never-ending journey of composing, recording, and further learning about music in general.
My current work features so many different aspects of music, including rock, metal, classical, blues, jazz, pop, world music, techno/electronica, and anything else that I find to be positively influencial to my music. I have also written a full-out classical piece entitled "Tak's Symphony No.1", the first piece for my still-in-development "Guitarchestra" project. The piece sounds similar to Paul Gilbert's "Gilberto Concerto", and I'm also sure there are certain sections in it that may resemble the already existing classical pieces, though, in my mind it is still my original work.
I use: Ibanez JS series guitars, Gibson Les Paul Standard, Washburn N2, Squier Stratocaster, Line6 POD, Digitech Whammy pedal, Jim Dunlop CryBaby wah pedal, Danelectro Tremolo pedal, BOSS HM-2 Heavy Metal Distortion and other pedals made by BOSS, Zoom Rhythm Trak 234, Roland VS-2000 Digital Studio Workstation, and other things as I see fit.
