Angel (Shalome) who was once called ‘a child prodigy’ began her journey at an early age performing at national events, has achieved the milestone of having performed at National events including Keys to the City - tribute to outgoing American Ambassador Michael Sithoros, 'Miss Lou and Friends' - tribute to the Hon. Louis Bennett-Coverly (Ward Theatre) , Grand Gala (National Stadium, JA.), the only child to appear on 1st of the series 'Ward Theatre of Excellence', brought the house down at the Hackney Empire in the UK, to date is the youngest person to reach the finals of the National Song Competition and at age 13 and in that same year she was crowned Miss Jamaica Hal Jackson Talented Teen where she represented her country to a standing ovation for her rendition of 'Vision of Love’ at the Apollo Theatre, NY.
ANGEL's talents expand beyond music. A published songwriter, poet (USA), and amateur photographer (USA) she has had her works featured in books and has received an International Poet of Merit Award from the International Poetry Society.
ANGEL has traveled the world with hand picked international Reggae artists including Maxi Priest, Damian Marley, Nahki, Anthony B, The Gladiators, The Wailers Band to name a few. She has penned lyrics for other artistes including 'Bring Back the Love' for the international lady of Reggae Marcia Griffiths 40th anniversary album 'SHINING TIME' and 'Woman's Burden', theme song the 'Mother in Crisis' organization. She has appeared on countless recordings with artists like Gregory Issacs, Diana King, Anthony B, Buju Banton and Luciano to name a few; now re-focused on her solo musical strides, she has so far collaborated with Freddie McGregor, Jah Mason, Yeshembeth, Chino, Bunny Rugs, Jahmali, Sizzla and Yellowman. ANGEL has written, recorded and released singles and appeared on compilations for label/distributors like Taxi (Ja), Jetstar (UK),Keyser Soze II (Japan), Penthouse (JA/USA) and Greensleeves (UK) compilation CD’s. Having worked with well known producers she has also maintained her career by establishing her own independent label and publishing company which allows her more control over her music.
