True Hip-Hop Straight from the Soul, is the response that you'll get when you ask Debonair Samir what he thinks Hip-Hop music should represent.
Born and raised during his formative years in Newark, N.J., Samir has always had a love and appreciation for the art of music. Since age 5, Samir has studied the patterns and rhythms of different genres of music. While in New Jersey, Samir explored his musical interests and talents by being the family D.J., and consummate entertainer.
Bringing his B-Boy style of Dee-Jaying, Break dancing, Rapping, and Singing with him, Samir relocated to Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 13. Samirs interests quickly grew into a passion, and by age 15, Samir and his other talented family members formed a group by the name of LaFarin. Spitting politically motivated lyrics, this group became the foundation for Samirs relentless efforts to capture the ears of music lovers worldwide.
At the tender age of 16, Samir began to evaluate his position and status in the music industry, and decided that his goals and aspirations were not to be just in the forefront, but instead, he wanted to be involved in making music that would make people move . Without many mentors to teach him how to make an impact in the industry through production and engineering, Samir began to teach his self how to use equipment and programs that would make his name synonymous with the whos who in the industry.
Perfecting the art of track making, re-mixing, production, and engineering, Samir has worked with many noted artists such as: Lily Allen, Busta Rhymes, E 40, T-Pain,Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Alicia Dixon,Spank rock, Jurassic 5,G-Unit, Monica, Alicia Keys, Freeway, Big Sty, B-Rich, Choppa (aka Young City from Da Band), Ruben Studdard, Jazz form Dru Hill, Lil Nikki, Ceelo Green, T.I., Trey Songz, and the Young Gunz.
