Local #52 Motion Picture Studio Mechanic. Film Credits include, Spike Lee's "INSIDE MAN", soon to be released "ACCROSS THE UNIVERSE”, Mel Brooks’ “THE PRODUCERS”, “MEN IN BLACK – II” , “THE OUT OF TOWNERS”, “FREQUENCY”, Martin Scorcese’s “BRINGING OUT THE DEAD”, as well as a little film titled “ROUNDERS”, produced and directed by the Late, Great Ted Demme (brother of Jonathon Demme). If you haven’t seen this one, I urge you to run out and get it. It stars a young Matt Damon, who was super cool to work with. During production he was nominated and later won an Academy Award, with his buddy Ben Afleck, for their screenplay “GOOD WILL HUNTING”, and the dude never let it go to his head. He was a genuine nice guy and a super professional on the job. Ted Demme was at the top of his game with ROUNDERS, and as far as I’m concerned the man has never received the acclaim he deserves for his work. His company, Spanky Pictures, churned out a handful of great films and we lost him way too soon. While working on my own short film, he was there for advise and guidance and I’ll always appreciate his words of encouragement. May he rest in peace and may his name live on forever.
