A skeleton of induced emotion

About Me

Recent graduate of University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a Bachelor's in Psychology with emphasis in neuroscience. I have, however, dabbled in nursing and laboratory as well. I guess you could say I have a very well-rounded education. I was in school forever, I think I've taken a class in every subject you can think of. I maintained a 4.0 GPA for a year's worth of school (including summer school), and I was extremely anal about getting A's. I am a part-time CNA on a birthing unit at a local hospital (mmm delicious babies), and part-time DJ bringing the o0ntz o0ntz to the Milwaukee area. I live in the hipster side of Milwaukee (Bay View) in an apartment with a creepy basement (consisting of chair, trash can, lightbulb), and I make my own music (who doesn't these days?), mainly in the genre of tribal industrial. I've got impossibly high standards when it comes to my friends and the people I date; in short I want it all and I think I deserve it. I'm a smart cookie who often makes stupid decisions (mostly for love *le sigh*). I'm a good girl who gets into trouble. I hate stereotypes, I hate how the industrial "scene" has become a farce with ridiculous costumes. I love it when people try to label me, because they're wrong and it's fun to laugh. I've got mostly guy friends because apparently I don't get along with women, although I do try - I wish I had someone to talk about my period with who wouldn't turn green and start to dry heave. I'm brutally honest, everyone knows that if someone needs the harsh truth, it's Meg that will tell them. It's not that I enjoy being cruel, I'd just rather they knew the facts without any question. I carry grudges forever. I'm impatient and often bratty, but that's because I don't enjoy change...I like things the way I want them. I don't care much for adults, but I would sacrifice my life for any child, and I'm not sure why. I'm anal about my handwriting, and the pens I use. I love collecting movies, especially horror movies. I am addicted to diet coke. I'm very close to my family, especially my two older sisters. My favorite animal is the sloth, because it is so lazy it has defeated natural selection, and it smiles when it defecates. I'm perpetually single, and I prefer dating men older than myself. I love my collection of friends, I collect friends in my life like baseball cards; each has his or her own invidual talents or oddities that makes being around them pleasant and exciting, and I am extremely loyal to them. I love arguing with people, I should have been a lawyer but I didn't feel like selling my soul. I am scientist, and I'm always fighting the urge to tear things apart and study their innards, whether it be medical, electronic, or psychological.
My favorite phrase is "Why?"
I hate men, although I am heterosexual. Don't try and change my mind. For the first time in 26 years, I'm declaring myself asexual until my luck turns around. To me, right now, men are superficial liars guided by their penises and not by their common sense. The men that are my friends have surpassed the impression of sexually attractive to me, therefore they aren't categorized like this. On the other hand, I'm not keen on women either (I have but one girl friend), but I think their maladjustment is more guided by their upbringings and environment. Women strive to be idiots, men just are.
My music project is called Reticent Crush...if you're interested, please click on the picture. I've made it THAT convenient. I've got over 1000 friends for my personal profile, which is superficial and boring, but a relatively small number for my actual WORTHY band profile. This should not be, and I aim to remedy this.Click on the pic to be taken to the music

My Interests

Industrial music, paranormal investigation, making music, fake hair, fashion, reading

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with half a brain who wants to make me laugh. Because I love laughing. ;)
Because it's come to my attention that some people clearly missed the part in the details section where I'm only here for networking and friends, I must note that I am NOT INTERESTED IN DATING ANYONE ON MYSPACE. Even if you live 2 minutes away from me, it's not going to happen. Don't even entertain the thought.
But I'm always interested in new friends.

Attention Bands

Don't request an add unless you have written me an email telling me why you'd think I'd like you. My friends request list is brimming with bands, and I will delete all of them. I simply don't have the time to do your dirty work and listen to your music when all you did was find my profile through some means and decide that I may like your music for some ambiguous reason. You have to sell yourself to me, do your goddamned job and PROMOTE.

Like a disease.

I think in the past year, I've become more bitter. Jaded, if you will. And at first I loathed this stripping of any hope for decency among human beings, but right now, it's actually working to my bene...

Late night blabber

This weekend is Irish Fest here in Milwaukee. I saw a man walking into the festival yesterday wearing a khaki "kilt". I then decided there have to be boundaries; if your kilt isn't plaid, then you're ...
