Particle Son began in the desert of California around November 1996.
Founding member Jared Scott began writing instrumental industrial/techno, and quickly completed 2 albums,
'The Great Pushover' (1997) and 'Unfiltered' (1997)
Due to requests for live shows, Jared brought aboard Dave Lash and Joe Williamson to sing and play guitar. Soon after, they
completed their third release, the 'It's No Use EP'(1998)
After a short spell of shows, Jared moved to Southern Oregon and began to persue other musical ventures.
In 2000, Jared revived the Particle Son project, But lacked a singer and guitarist.
Enter Nathan Malin (guitars) and Dusty Powers (vocals).
With a little work and lots of alcohol, Particle Son released the "Bleeding Pain EP" (2001).
In 2003, Particle Son started work on a new album, and in 2004, 'Re:Version' was released.
2006 saw the unfortunate loss of long time friend and guitarist, Nathan Malin.
Soon after, Glitch106, from the Invisible Records band Railer, joined.
Between 2006 and 2007, Particle Son played many shows and released a cover of Skinny Puppy's 'Tormentor'.
2008 saw the departure of Dusty Powers and Glitch106.
Currently, Jared Scott is persuing his other endeavors, U.H.R.(downtempo), Alpha Hinge (elctronica),
and DJ'ing for D-A-R-K Records as 'Flak' (dark psytrance).
Particle Son continues to live on with remix work, and possible new material in the future.
