All I've ever wanted to do is sing. I feel lucky to have come from a very musical family, my father being a professional jazz trumpet player and composer, my mother a classical singer and pianist. Much of my childhood was spent traveling with my father's band, grabbing every opportunity I could to perform with him, or wherever I could. Twelve years of piano lessons, four of which were devoted to music theory and jazz, I knew I'd find my niche in rock (much to my father's dismay). I would rather have dropped out of college and gone on the road singing, but through threats of poverty and bodily harm from my parents, I stayed the course and graduated from SDSU with my B.A. in Fine Art, emphasis in Graphic Design. Since then I've been selling my soul to the corporate machine, however that will be changing soon.
Most influential female vocalist, by far, Ella Fitzgerald. Most influential male vocalist, Chris Cornell.
