Black is the new Altruism

About Me

My name is Olokuntogun Ifasehun Ojedele. If you know me "back in the day" you may still call me Thabiti, and that's cool too. lol

I have been an Ab'Orisa or devotee of the Orisa since 1990. Born into a very spiritual family I experienced Christianity, Nationalist Islam as well as the Kemetic tradition, as taught through Ausar Auset Society during my childhood and adolescent years, before settling down with Orisa worship during my early adulthood. I am an Initiated Afrikan Priest in the Orisa'Ifa- Yoruba Tradition. I was initiated to the Orisa Priesthood of Olokun in June 2004. My secondary Orisa is Sango . (For those that seem to be confused. I am not a Babalawo. I am an Baba L'Orisa. There is a difference.)

In addition to spiritual pursuits I took an early interest to meditation and have included as a major part of my spiritual practice since I was 15 years old. I am the webmaster of Roots and Rooted , the creator of Outstanding Priests of Traditional African Religion , and one of only a few people to ever moderate the Orisa Mailing List .

I am also a father and a husband . I earn a living as a non-profit consultant . I like making jokes. I enjoy reading. I am a vegetarian . I believe in Pan-Afrikan, Afrocentricity and the Nguzo Saba . I love the Earth and all of Nature.I am heavily involved in the Hands Off Assata and 5,000 Warriors Strong Monthly Action Alert Campaign . (Tell 'em Ifasehunreincarnated referred you)

I am pro - indigenous culture, that is, I support the renaissance of all indigenous cultures and spiritual traditions of all people of color. (Please go back to the ways of your Ancestors. They are waiting for you.)
