About Me

A Voice among Millions, A face lost in the crowd, My thoughts quitely screaming, In a silence so loud. This life that I'm living, These lessons I've learned, My heart freely given, Yet repeatedly burned.Still Today like tommorow, I'll try once again, To hide all the sorrow, And ignore all the sin.Dying is easy, When living is hell, I've living the story, I'm dying to tell.Richard Lloyd BoyettCopyright ©2006 I am a musician, Always have been ALWAYS will be. I grew up in Fort Smith Arkansas. My first band was a gospel band with local boys Mark Albertson, Chuck Henry, and Stevie Biggs. I soon made my way to the clubs and sooner or later played all of them I guess. I played with Bob White's Country Caravan, Club Faux Pas with The Heartbreak Kids, Tightrope, Styles Bitchly, Mr. Bill (White) and his band Spot, Cookin', to name a few. I also worked with my dear friends Mark Albertson, Gary Hutchinson, and Allen Turner in a group called "Blue Emotions". I have worked with Mr. Cabbagehead and the Screaming Radishes. I left Ft. Smith in 87' to move to Memphis Tenn. where I went to work with "Shylo" then on with Don McMinn and the Rum Boogie Band, where I had the honor of working with Percy Sledge. After that on to Nashville/Branson (back and forth) where I worked with Danny Davis and The Nashville Brass for 5 years. While with Danny we did a tour with Bob Newhart which is still 14 of my favorite shows I ever did. We also worked with acts like Williams and Ree, Shenandoah, Southern Pacific, The Amazing Kreskin, Tanya Tucker,(the first time I heard Keith Horne play WOW), and Hank Thompson to name a few. then I worked (played Bass) for acts like David Frizzell,(when I got to do the Grand Old Opry for the first time), Rockin' Sydney, Joe Stampley, Waylon Jennings, and ended up back in Branson working for Mel Tilles until my Father died in 95' and I was fired for taking off 5 days to bury him. I was told "when Mel's Mother died he had her put in cold storage til he could clear his schedule to bury her". Needless to say I was done chasing the Nashville sideman gigs. A few good things happened while with M-m-mel I had the privilidge of picking with Glen Campbell, Charlie Pride, Pam Tilles, however getting to meet and know Hank (Sheldon) Williams the III was the best thing to come out of that gig! After all that I worked with Gerry Moss and the Drive, Where I met and played for Johnny Lee, James(Superharp)Cotton, Then when I moved on to play for Roger Burch and Hammerdown, Karen Vance and 3220 and Windy Austin and the Hot House Tomato Boys. Windy is a great guy and great talent if you have a chance to see him don't miss it. During all this time I have been a Song Writer also with only a couple of cuts so far but I keep on trying. The Moffatt Brothers recorded one of mine called Dogs is Dogs and Gary P. Nunn recorded "Friends for Life"Nowadays I travel with a band known as the Asphalt Cowboys. We play all over the United States. We have a web site www.asphalt-cowboys.net you can find our schedule there. We also have a new C.D. The Asphalt Cowboys are a group of professional musicians, singers, and songwriters who spend a lot of time burning up the asphalt. Individually they have been sidemen to acts such as Joe Stampley, Waylon Jennings, Blake Shelton, Charlie Pride, Roger Brown, and Mel Tillis just to name a few. After these guys and gal played for many different individuals on the Nashville circuit they ended up playing together and wanting to start their own band. Collectively If you have seen their show, you know how much fun they have playing. They cater to the dancers and end the night with a little hip hop to honky tonk. They are remembered mostly for their high energy show. Last year alone they played 268 shows. Sean Coyle lead guitar/vocals, Rick Boyett bass guitar/vocals, and Sandra Dismuke(Coyle) fiddle, mandolin, keys and vocals, have been together since 1999. After the original drummer left they've had many audition but none filled the spot until the hiring of Chris Douglas. Chris adds lead vocals and harmonies to the band. In 2005 Bobby Montoya joined the band playing guitar, keys, Squeeze Box and other instruments as well as bringing more vocals to the band. Sandra Dismuke - Violin, keys and vocals Sean Coyle -lead guitar and vocals. Rick Boyett - Bass and vocals, Bobby Montoya - Guitar and vocals, Chris Douglas - Drums and Vocals.... ..I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
