About Me

Just when I feel like I've made a huge step towards becoming the man I want to be, I realize that there's so much more room for improvement. Even as I reach my goals I realize my goals have changed or grown. Not that I'm complaining. I love change and growth. I like always having something to work towards even if it's something you can't quite explain. I'm fun-loving and open-minded. I love my life and I love anything that gets my blood pumping. Skydiving, rollerblading, mountain biking, running, hiking. I'd be down for white water rafting, spelunking, base jumping, hang gliding. I also like things that tickle my brain. I love reading. Mostly fantasy novels and I read a lot of Dean Koontz. I also read fitness mags and science mags. Sometimes I read certain books that I know will help me better myself or books with raw information. Sudoku is very addicting.I love the Army. It treats me well. I'm in for 6 years. I'm at Redstone Arsenal right now, which is in Huntsville, AL. I'm here going through my AIT course. I'll be finished by the end of May, then I'll get a week or 2 home and I'm of to Korea for a year or 2. I'm not sure if I'm going to try and retire in the Army or not. I suppose I have plenty of time to think about it.If after my 6 years, I decide that I'm through with the Army, I'm going to start a business as a fitness trainer. Until then, I'm going to be taking a couple business courses and getting a degree in fitness education and nutrition.Meanwhile, I'm considering going to Army Ranger School. It's tough, I know, but the school is only 9 weeks long. It's the life afterward that I'm worried about. I want to know more about being a Ranger before I decide.

My Interests

Russian culture, skydiving, reading, rollerblading, martial arts, working out, movies, a little t.v., urban running (spectating only so-far), clubs that play techno and dance music (as apposed to clubs that play rock or played-out radio songs), partying and getting drunk, physics, metaphysics, philosophy, spirtituality, Buddhism, mathematics, poetry, a little writing, and just being an all out classic good guy.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody. What can I say? I love to meet new people. I'm pretty chill and I don't have any enemies that I know of. I can get along with just about anyone. I have plenty of friends, but one can never have too many.

Music:

Heavy Metal. Marylin Manson said that Rock is deader than dead. It was for a while. Thank God for bands like Thrice and Avenged Sevenfold and a few others. And of course, the guys who have truly saved rock, Coheed and Cambria. I like oldies: Beetles, Monkeys, Supremes, James Brown, Elton John, Elvis, Phil Collins, and dozens more. I like classic rock: Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns'n'Roses, Pink Floyd, and more. I like heavy metal: Coheed and Cambria (greatest band ever), KORN (first 2 almbulms), Marylin Manson, Fuel, Rob Zombie, Metallica, Ozzy and Black Sabbath, Pantera, Chevelle, I could go on forever. I also like techno: Paul Oakenfold, DJ Irene, Paul Van Dyke, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Rap, DJ Dieselboy (AAAHHHHH!!!), and I'm just gonna stop there otherwise I'll never stop. I like other types of music and other artists, but those are my favorites.

Movies:

The Last Samurai is my favorite movie. I always hated Tom Cruise because he was so cocky, but he seems to leave that part of himself out of this movie. Before The Last Samurai, my favorite movie was Braveheart. I love Mel Gibson. He's my favorite actor. My second favorite actor would have to be Robin Williams. I hope you have seen his Live On Broadway stand-up act. If you haven't, then you're missing out on the funniest stand-up act ever. Death to Smootchie was hillarious. What Dreams May Come (don't say that one too quickly) is a beautiful movie. I just saw V for Vendetta. That is in my top 3 movies of all time. Independence Day, MIB, Schindler's List, Euro Trip, A Beautiful Mind, Cast Away, Shawshank Redemption, Jurrasik Park, Commando, Terminator 1 & 2. I can't list every great movie of course, but these are good ones. I really love martial arts movies as well.

Television:

Star Trek (yeah, I'm a bit of a Trekkie), Stargate SG-1, Conan O'Brian, SNL (it's not the same since Will Ferrel left), TNA wrestling (it's so much better that WWE), Family Guy, South Park, and the Science, Discovery, TLC, and History channels.

Books:

I love reading. Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time, Neal Donald Walch's Conversations With God, Pierce Antony's Xanth novels, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, and J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. I also like to read magazines and books about astronomy. I like to study math sometimes. I just read strangers by Dean Koontz. Dean Koontz is amazing. Now I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell.

"Return to Love"
