LAZY SLANG BIO:
Lazy Slang is a Burlington raised trio who now live and work out of St.Catharines where all members attend Brock University. Coming out of the same high school, Mick and Ryan played music before in a ska band called "The Freetones", while Ty became well versed in hop hip and jazz training, developing his own style immersed in a world of metal and hip hop fusion.
By their second year of University, Lazy Slang had quickly become more than just a jam band, and began writing material with catchy results. The style of Lazy Slang formed itself out of the varied histories of each member. Tyler, a metal inspired drummer trained formally as well, brings an element of intensity and rock. Ryan, who was in a punk rock band prior to Slang, brought a raw quality inspired by punk/reggae acts like Slightly Stoopid, Sublime, and Joe Strummer. Mick brings a love for reggae on bass, enjoying but not limiting himself to a more reggae style. learned on his own over the years. the end result of this is a rock and reggae fusion that is not afraid to dip into any musical style that pleases them.
