About Me

Everybody go check out www.indielove.ca. Street66 has been added to full rotation. It's a great new net-radio station that only plays Canadaian indie music. Street66 is a back alley sound that blends reggae, hip-hop, rock and soul influences.Street66 formed during the spring of 2006 when the goup completed a 4 song demo recorded in their jamspace with Step's 16-track Fostex. The idea was to keep it as simple, and as clean yet lively as possible. We were lucky enough to get Darius Szczepaniak to master our stuff. He's worked with every act worth mentioning in Canada in one way or another, and for years was engineer at Metalworks. Much love to Darius cause the tracks are now sounding HUGE! ...................The gigs during the summer of '06 were a blast and the response was awesome. Thanks to all those who have been droppin by to stay in touch and give support. we got nuff love for you. ............................In fact the vibe has been so good we want to keep up the momentum by recording our full length CD this winter!! We were sitting down reasoning on the merits of some producers when Darius buzzed me saying his December was available... so how could we say no to our bro? The dude with $$$ears? Hell yeah we'll do it! So we hit the studio out in Malvern called Rouge Valley Studios (record has to be done in the hood)!!!.We moved into the studio Nov 30th, tracked until Dec 11th, mixed until Dec 22nd and Mastered during the first weeks of January. It was been an awesome experience and fortunate to have some other great musicians like Luke Kinmond (trumpet/Sratch3), Michael StClair (lead guitar/Jacksoul, the Arsenals), Jay Hay (Sax), Winston James (Djembe) and David Butler (Keys) to bless our album with their talents. Thanks too all the people that have helped us make this record. One Love!...To all the Rock-Rub-a-Dub fans, hope to see you from the stage..................
