I am here for Friends

About Me

Profile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0I'm a Wisconsinite living in Los Angeles. This quote pretty much sums it all up:"The truly creative mind, in any field, is no more than this: a human born abnormally, inhumanely sensitive. To him, a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god and failure is death. Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create-so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency, he is not really alive unless he is creating." -Pearl S. Buck.

My Interests

Vive Bene, Spesso L'Amore, di Risata Molto! I am crazy in Love with Art, in all its forms. The ocean, mountains, desert, prairies. Travelling everywhere. Sports that take a mastery of the Earth and all her elements like snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, sailing. The Packers are pretty cool, too. Beautiful kisses and beautiful souls. Creating art (painting, pottery, clay, drawing). Children. Being Indiana Jones in my own ways. Good red wine (Red Zin, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Valpolacelli). Learning new things and being in situations that are foreign to me. Teaching. Jokes that give me a stomach ache from laughing. Other than that; Love, enthusiasm, passion make a pretty nice collaberative second. This is the world as I know it.I am "Made in Wisconsin."

I'd like to meet:

People with a well developed Super Ego. Fellow Midwesterners, or people who can become an honorary Midwesterner. People who have a healthy dose of Indiana Jones in their blood. People who don't have to make others feel small to make themselves feel big. Nice people! I don't want to meet anyone who befriends me so I'll take their picture for free (it's shocking how much this happens), 'cause my camera only comes out for my immediate family when I'm not working.

I feel change in LA: Part 2. Teaching as catalyst.

A few months back I wrote a blog about how I feel certain social and economic aspects of Los Angeles are quite sub-par.  Hell might be a better and more blunt way of putting it.  I decided i...

The way life should be!

I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first; start out dead and get it out of the way. Then you wake up in a nursing home, feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too ...
