i get up and walk about a mile to get coffee in the morning, then i walk back. i'm pretty obsessed with the idea of riding my bike, but don't do it as much as i'd like. dogs and infants seem to recognize me as their leader. i love my backyard. i have no specific plans for the yard, but i know it will be grand. there are a lot of good people in the world, and a staggering number of ridiculously ignorant, self-centered people. (this is not news). i've had to keep a journal the last couple of years because i can no longer remember all the places my job takes me these days. i love my job, and can't wait to get to work when i wake up in the morning, after i get that coffee i mentioned above. i've been watching this heron, who sits in the river near my house, but he's been gone since just before thanksgiving - i think he's finally headed south. my house is red, and looks like a barn. i am working on a petition to get the neighbors to get the city to put speedbumps on my street. my sentimentality really bugs me, but i can't get rid of it, like i'd like to. i grind my teeth, badly, when i sleep. i have been playing guitar more recently, which makes me happy. i don't have a stereo in my car - i have a small diplodocus in my dashboard. i have been trying to stop cracking peoples' backs, but people keep asking me to do it. i miss my old friends. fresh clean socks are more important to me than they are to most people. i sleep better when i'm face down.
