Cubist Funk

The Cubist Funk is a musical project blending Funk, jazz, soul and rock. The material is the brainchild of songwriter/arranger Simon Bushby. Simon has been writing, performing and recording music for almost ten years. His musical influences include Tom waits, Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Rufus wainwright, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Bob Dylan and many others. Simon is currently putting the finishing touches to a full length e.p. some of the songs from which will feature on this page around august. The e.p features contributions from Canada-based bass player Anthony Walsh, Limerick drummer Patrick Heffernan,cork singer/songwriter LJ Devlin and Dublin vocalist Nicola McGowan.
