Don't try to label me

About Me

Country borders are for fools. Muslim, French, not guilty, hard-working brain, lazy legs, Algerian Berbere, no material girl, no gold-digger, free-spirit in the Deen, Family comes first, mum to be, Music is powerful, music a weapon of mass destruction or mass peace depending on the intentions.

My Interests

Promoting Good Music and good music only, music with meaning. Following the light of my ever-lasting love, my faith, my Islam.

I'd like to meet:

my baby and the One and Only, the Most High. Not necessarly in that order.

Music:

Again, The good one. the one that moves people in a positive way, the one that talks about love, nature, the human as body and soul. Not the one that drives 10 years old wanted to look and sound like those horrible super egoistic superstars ie Madonna, Beyonce, Snoop Dog, Justin and all that rubbish that they vomit on the radios and tv channels all day.

Movies:

So many films out there, so few speaking the truth or really entertaining. The Weeping Camel..Un Monde Sans Pitie...Manon des Sources, Jean de Florette for the scenery of beautiful Provence and the singing accent...The Message....

Television:

Get ride of all the ads, all the news, all the US and most of the UK soap, all the talent shows, all the reality tv shows, all the big brother bulls..., maybe what is left is what I watch. But mostly Channel 813 on Sky and 805 and AlJazeera in English sometimes for alternative news, and all the animal and planet documentaries...because they remind me that Nature is violent...by nature....and why indeed, I should never kill a bee for no reason.

Books:

The Holy Quran, although it is more than a book really :). The Bible and the Torah too.

Heroes:

my fellow brothers and sisters, who stand up for peace on Earth..., who bow to God everyday, who fast and remember the hungry, who support the poor and needy.

My Blog

What about them?

I am amazed and very pleased to see the real people challenging the politicians worldwide about Darfur crisis. What is happening is horrendous and of course we should stand against it and look to a so...

Closer than Veins...

When was last time I purchase a hip-hop album? Back in the 90s maybe when Claude M'Barale known as MC SOLAAR could make sense of it all and lay poetry on great tunes. But then Outlandish came out of n...
