About Me

Small girl. 23. Makes pleasant noises.
Born in Leeds, raised in Wiltshire and Fife. I have constantly itchy feet (metaphorically).
Have supported Willy Mason, Newton Faulkner, The Aliens, Frank Turner, Luke Leighfield, and Lykki Li over the past year or two, and am looking forward to more (if people want to give me them!) Also played at Connect Festival in september, thoroughly mud-tastic :) and was featured on Vic Galloway's Introducing show on Radio 1.
Enjoy the tunes. If you think someone you know might like my music, feel free to direct them to my page! That would be awesome. Beth xxx
Gigs are just acoustic at the moment but I'm working on it...

The Jester provides awesome sound production and musicianship, he is a champ. Check him out in my top friends.
Influences: Jeff Buckley, The Weepies, Bjork, Paul Simon, Dallas Green, King Creosote, Zero 7, Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis, The Cure, Lauryn Hill, Olive, P J Harvey, The Cranberries, Thom Yorke, Groove Armada, Team Sleep... and all sorts of things really.
Sounds Like: "The penultimate act Beth Wilmshurst, a solo acoustic artist, sat alone on the stage and although she didn't move throughout her set, you could tell she had moved the audience with her sweet, angelic voice. Her song Clay Heart was amazing, it just had such meaning. You could imagine Beth playing a big stage at night with just a spotlight on her encapsulating her audience with her melodic voice while you chilled with a beer and a loved one." - Lesley-Anne Brown, T Break 2008
"..some seriously heartfelt and seriously hypnotic original songs, a voice that's strong yet warm and guitar work that has hints of twelve string to it.." - Andy G, Dead Earnest

So...King Tuts lived up to its reputation last night and provided an awesome, awesome gig...though really, most credit goes to Newton Faulkner performing amazingly (and I don't use that word lightly),...
