CHRIS WREN - The Honolulu Weekly writes (September 2005) "As with soundtrack music, his sets tell a story through thew mood of the soundscape." Described as a "musical evangelist" he is known for being unpredictable in his sound, going out of his way to "stay on the edge, because that's where the thrills are."
Chris Wren has earned a reputation among his colleagues as a consummate artist and musician. With a firm background in classical music, and real world experience as a sound mixer and composer, Chris has the confidence to take the right kind of risks with his dancefloor. A night with Chris Wren will leave you inspired and educated, which is not surprising as he looks to artists like David Guetta , Sasha and Groove Armada for inspiration.
Not many DJs work in the range of music in which Chris works. He writes full orchestral scores for symphonic performance as well as film. He writes commercial underscores and radio jingles you may hear every day. His ability to 'hear something different' has brought billboard artists like Abigail , Gioia , Rachel Panay , Mona Chatterjee , and Majandra Delfino to him for unique and unexpected remixes of their tracks. Chris collaborated with DJ Scotty K on a remix for Raven Symone's show "That's so Raven" on the Disney Channel and in syndication on ABC Their remix was used as the sound for the music video of the same name which is used extensively to promote the show.
Originally from Laguna Beach, Chris began studying music at the age of 4 and apprenticed with Warren and Kirsten Langlie, before attending Pepperdine University , where he studied classical piano and international diplomacy. A little known fact about Chris: If you see him running out of the club at noon on a Sunday during football season, it..t miss the Rams kickoff. He is a die-hard fan. He is also a Libra .
