So, I figured this needed a bit of an update; it’s been too long…
I’m Pauline, or Pee, or any one of the many nicknames I manage to acquire on my travels…anything’s good so long as it’s pretty and not (too) offensive!
I’m still living in York, re-sitting some modules that I never handed in on time (notably, my dissertation. D’oh.) I like to pretend I’m busy doing really important stuff like my artwork and my writing, when really I’m just on this thing!
I’m always skint due to a combination of my vain attempt to be an artist (dahhhhhling), and my complete stubborn refusal to get a nine-to-five! There’s nothing I hate more than work for moneys (or societies) sake, and to me it is nothing more than a distraction from self-awareness that ultimately limits us from ever understanding our own existence! But, ya know, rant over, each to their own…

Things I like…
Random musings. Crazy concepts that make my brain hurt. Like time travel. And immortality. Raw acoustic prettiness. Sexy guitar solos. Feedback, distortion and echoes in the dark. Deja vu. Lyrics with feeling. Perfectly formed quotes. Me Marras!!! Arty things. Sketchbook contemplation. Writing. Lists. Scribbles. Captured thoughts. Procrastinating, pondering and errr, perplexing people(?). Mysteriousness. Spiritual awareness. Thinking too much. Being confused. Tattoos. Expression. Conversations that make no sense. Gigs, Festivals and feeling loud music vibrate through me. Rock n Roll excess. Dancing about in silly intoxicated states. Coffee!!! All things alternative. Smudgy eyeliner. Ziggys. Fibbers. Evil Eye. People with passion! Textiles, collages and making a mess. Found objects and reminders of lives being lived. Tacky bracelets. Making stuff. Photography, (drunken photography!) Being (slightly) Geordie! Being understood. Not being understood. People that care. People with edge. Bad boys. Rock boys. Being in the dark. Faeries. The unknown. Dreams, nightmares and blackouts! Questioning things. Originality. (Intelligent) opinionated people. Arguing with said (intelligent) opinionated people! People with a strong sense of self. Complex people. Adding things to the list of things I like!
And things I don’t like…
People that walk up escalators. Pretentiousness, people who neeed to be the centre of attention constantly! Spiders I hate with a passion, same goes for phone conversations...freaks me out! ‘Nice’ boys. Trying too hard. Things that revolve around money. Conformity. Everything always being alright. Coasting. Happy hardcore. People who like happy hardcore. The tv volume being on an uneven number (except 5’s, for some reason they’re allowed). Routine. Office monkeys. People who think they're better than you. I wouldn't mind, but it's precisely those people who most definitely aren'tbetter than you. People who aren't open to new things. When someone clearly has an issue/problem with something but won't say anything...and just how do you expect to resolve it if you're too scared to speak up?! Sap! Negative people. (hating things and writing a list of said things isn't 'negative', for the record. I quite like my negativity, it's passionate! ha!)
Not making the most of every single moment…I’m guilty of this sometimes though, I’m not nearly spontaneous enough! Help me out; invite me to do something random, randomly!
