About Me

I am an average person who has always been just enough above average in everything to feel incompetent because of the level of acheivement above my abilities but not low enough to feel sufficiently bad about my lack of excelling in anything. heh. I am silly, I am serious. I am shooman. That just about explains it all.

My Interests

I have an interest in just about everything. I listen to all sorts of music and talk about all sorts of things. My favorite band is Counting Crows (yes even their new stuff. heh) I like to dance but I'm mostly a fish-flopping (salmon) hand-watching dancer. I have a very silly sense of humor and it also is reflected in my interests. I can talk pokemon as readily as football (particularly if it's about a Texas team) and crochetting as readily as computers. Forgot to add British Comedies and Dr. Who! I have in huge interest in God but hate discussing God for the most part. I talk way too much about women and the whole trust relationship of D/s (Dom/sub/slave). I'm definitely D, know what I'm looking for... too afraid to go looking. LOL. And now for some powerful words:
"If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing."

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

I'd like to meet:

Well the person I'd most like to meet is dead. Audrey Hepburn. Hrmm... wonder if the person who invented high heels is dead. heh. Other than that, there's not really anyone I idolize or want to meet that badly. Everything comes with time and I don't care about being famous or being a "somebody". I just want to be loved and to do things that make me feel loved. To inspire friendship, honor, and a friend once said, "the old way".

Music:

1) Counting Crows
2) Everything comes secondary but I like everything else too in general. I'm bad at knowing who sings what. I know I like some of the following though, Matchbox 20, Three Doors Down, Watermark, Point of Grace, Tool, Peter Murphy, Sarah McLachlan, Pearl Jam, REM, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Reba, Blues Traveller, etc etc etc
3) I enjoy the following styles of music in order: Alternative, Country, Christian Contemp and Alternative, Classical (particularly concertoes and concerto grossos), Blues and R&B, and basically everything-- even on occasion rap but I prefer rap to have some harmonic and lyrical aspects exceeding just beat and rhythm. I will dance to trance and techno as well but don't particularly prefer those music styles for regular enjoyment unless with friends.

Movies:

I like my old stuff: Holiday Inn, Sabrina, Roman Holiday, Blue Skies (old... not new version), etc. Basically anything with Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelley in them. Also recently fell in love with Date With an Angel. I enjoy comedy, romance, action... hate horrors. I always feel so helpless in a horror movie. There's nothing I can do to save the people from their suffering but lament that they stupidly opened the DOOR! heh

Television:

Andromeda. Recently got satellite TV and really enjoy Farscape. I also like the comedy Becker. I watch just about anything when I have the time.

Books:

Sci Fi and Fantasy are my meat and potatoes. I'm Chinese-- you'd think it'd be the martial arts stuff but nah... not really. I'm okay with just about anything and if you can imagine a genre... I probably have it as a book somewhere in my book shelves-- well with the exception of Underwater Nazi Zombie books. I don't have that (thank goodness).

Heroes:

Jesus. My old Chinese martial arts movie heroes like ... hrmmm... dang it. I don't know the English or Chinese ways of spelling them... only how to say the names. Chu Leeel Shian with his powerful sense of smell. Wang Fay Hon played by Jet Li. Shao Li Fay Doaw (small flying knife). And who knows who else. Too many to name and too many sources. Also my mom.
