About Me

Hello,I'm Gary T. from the Windy C.and welcome to my site.I'm one of the many DJs on the University of Chicago's radio station,WHPK in Chicago.Once a month, I host a 3 hour show called "The Dusties Party." Dusties is a term Chicagoens use referring to soul music. If it was recorded 30 years or older,it's a dusty. The music you'll hear on "The Dusties Party" covers a wide range of music from the 60s to the early/mid 80s. Basically,you're hear music and artists that mainstream commercial radio refuses to play.(In other words,not the same old tired played out songs you'll hear over and over again) From Soul,Jazz,Blues,Funk,Rock,Reggae,Comedy,pre and post Disco,House music,etc;,you'll hear it on "The Dusties Party",every Thursday from 9PM - Midnight on WHPK 88.5 FM in Chicago. www.whpk.org or email me at [email protected] I'm also a member of Soul Patrol and have a few shows you can listen to on Soul Patrol Radio. Music,Reading,watching classic movies,documentaries,etc; history buff,going out and seeing live entertainment and museums. In other words having fun. :-)

Soul,Funk,Rock,Jazz,Blues,Reggae,Classic House Music,early Hip Hop before the Gangsta Rap era,etc;.

Movies:

Old B&W movies from the 30's and 40's,Comedies,Dramas,Action,Kung Fu flicks from the seventies,Documetaries,Concert Films,Suspense,Mysteries,etc;

Television:

Mainly classic television shows you hardly see on TV these days. I like documentaries,comedy,music programs,science fiction,action,suspense,etc;

Books:

I don't where to begin. Too many to list on this site.
