Not everyone understands house music... I do!

About Me

Safe, sane, well, I will let you decide... Born and grew up in Europe, stuck in Illinois for now. Honestly though, as long as Illinois has Chicago - birthplace of House Music - I am willing to put up with corn fields and so very often awful weather...
D.O.M - In the non-party world I'm known as Dominik. I was born in the Soviet occupied Ukraine.
My first encounter with electronic music has not happen until 1995. It was also the year when I got my first DJing gig. Well, that is if your idea of a gig was playing your favorite tunes using two reel-to-reel players in the high school gymnasium, without even suspecting that the concept of mixing records ever existed.
The same year came the move to the US and a couple-of-years-long sabbatical from music due to the pursuit of a college degree.
It took no time for me to become a very recognizable face at multiple parties and gatherings, enjoying a wide range of styles and genres. My "Conversion to House", however, has not happened till I saw Roy Davis Jr in the basement of Vision Nightclub in Chicago. From that point on, 4x4 beat of House music has become the rhythm of my heartbeat. Without saying too much, it took no time at all before my love for dancing to House evolved into sharing it via the means of a record and a pair of turntables.
From a DJ perspective, D.O.M's sound is always vocal, soulful, on the deeper side, and sprinkled with Latin beats. I credit legendary DJs Roy Davis Jr, Derrick L. Carter, Lego, Paul Johnson, Masters at Work, Steve Silk Hurley, Dennis Ferrer, Ron Carroll, Sandy Rivera, David Morales, Cajmere, and vocalists DaJae, Jocelyn Brown, Martha Washington, Ce Ce Peniston, Julie McKnight, Barbara Tucker, Michelle Weeks, Kathy Brown, and Lisa Shaw with being a significant influence on what I define as "My House".
D.O.M. is a member of AzzamovA Productions and Our House Productions.
