No, I won't tell you where I get all my stuff, dammit

About Me

Artist reception and party is 7:30 - 11pm every First Friday of the month! So come on down to the Navy Yard, grab a glass of wine, mingle with the artist and get your vintage groove on.
Recently featured in BEST OF NY 2007 for "Best Thrift Shop" RePop specializes in installation of amazing and curious things. All items in the gallery are collected by hand according to the impulsive tastes of my Aquarius / Leo rising Scorpion moon self and my creative Leo / Leo rising Aquarius moon partner, Carl Grauer. So, as you can imagine, displays and merchandise are subject to shift weekly.
Exclusively showcased in the RePOP gallery at this moment (in addition to our vintage offerings) are the astounding aquariums, brass birds, corsets and jewelry collection by the fabulous Miss Ellie. Also enjoy other works of art on display by Jorden Haley and John Mathias.
RePOP is open Tues-Sun from 11-7pm (but sometimes a little later.)
You can find out more about me by visiting my other collaborative endeavors at http://www.prodigalsuns.com or contact me in person. I am very friendly.

Bjork, Hibiscus, Justin Theroux, Marilyn Manson, George Romero, Ann Wilson, Yma Sumac, Leigh Bowery, Big & Little Edie, Grace Jones, the Marchesa Luisa Casati, and a responsive yet sleepy drunk beatnik with incredible endurance.

Music:

Currently: Santogold, Bill Nelson, Sparks, Glass Candy, Yelle, Kelley Polar, Trentemoller, Lindstrom, Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Gal Costa, Black Devil, Justice, Crystal Castles, The Chromatics, Visage, M83, The 13th Floor Elevators, Pretty Things, The Dirtbombs, OS Mutantes, British Sea Power, M.I.A., Miss Kittin, Hot Chip, Cut Copy, Blonde Redhead, Roxy Music, The Raveonettes, Madonna & Kylie Minogue in rapid spasmodic dance shuffle, Dimitri from Paris, The B-52's, Grace Jones, Mandrill, Lonnie Liston Smith, Cymande, Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood

Movies:

Fire Walk With Me, Oldboy, Short Bus, Grindhouse! POISON, The Life of Others and Hysterical Blindness. Usually I enjoy surreal creepy shit and films that exonerate sexuality. Ssupernatural horror and anything by David Lynch, Brian DePalma ('cept Black Dahlia), John Carpenter and Lars Von Tier. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ROCKS . Gray Gardens, Night of the Living Dead (original), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Blade Runner, 3 Women, Heavenly Creatures, Carnival of Souls, The Cockettes, Dawn of the Dead, Wings of Desire, DEMENTIA, Birth, MAY, Klute, Freeway, Drop Dead Gorgeous, House of Yes, Belle Du Jour, The Hunger, The Brood, Halloween, Sin City, Kill Bill, City of Lost Children, The Cult of The Damned, 2001, Harold & Maude, Lady in the Water, Mean Girls, SAVED! Velvet Goldmine, Brick, and Jesus Camp is the 21st Century version of what i endured age 5 - up.

Television:

.. width="425" height="350" ..It's all about addiction, isn't it? Twin Peaks was the best show ever to air on television. Otherwise, i try not to indulge but when I do I find myself obsessed with things that have fallen on my lap seemingly with the sole purpose of sucking my brains out. Dumb yet intoxicating programs like Heroes help the day erase pretty quickly, especially when I decide to catch up on an entire season in one sitting. (WHICH IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE GUILTY PLEASURE PASTIME). The new Battlestar Galactica is as cheasy as it is deep. I dig the Dexter even though he could cut the narration crap OUT. Weeds is good. The L Word is pretty intoxicating. I mean, love the Beals and the Shane. When I can find it i'm mostly into vintage TV from my childhood like Ultraman, Johnny Soko and the Amazing Flying Robot, Star Trek, Night Gallery, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, and Saturday Thriller Double Feature (which is really B-horror film that used to air on Channel 20 in Detroit, but they had a killer opening credit with a splice from Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love looped over wacky scenes of Carrie, Tourist Trap and Golden Age of Vampires with Christopher Lee).

Books:

.. width="425" height="350" .. Philip Pullman, Madeleine L'engle, Lunar Park, Creative Visualization, The Other Side of the Rainbow with Judy Garland on the Dawn Patrol, Portrait of Dorian Grey, The Male Cross-Dressers Support Group, Middlesex, Neverending Story, The Man From S.T.U.D. in The Orgy at Madame Dracula's, Myra Breckinridge, Me by Anonymous, Odd Girl Out, Blackwood Farm, Modern Magic, Fountainhead, Anais Nin Diaries, The Magician's Nephew, Malcolm X, Steppenwolf, The Tapestry Room, Harry Potter & The Order of the Pheonix / Half-Blood or Brat Prince whatever especially (i'm in love with Snape), Practical Hypnotism, Ancient Gods, Goddesses and Mythology, David Boring, The Dharma Bums, The Rosie Crucifixion

Heroes:
