About Me

Satellites video clip:

Hi there. I'm Mats from the good ol' Netherlands. Music is my game. Every aspect of it. Take a look around, if you like. Song playing is my band AUTUMN

My Interests

I love music. I sing, play guitar, (fretless)bass and drums. I like all kinds of styles from sixties to light jazz. From pop/rock to metal. Though I prefer the "heavier" rock genre... Furthermore: Photography, reading, friendly debating, psychology, history and science. I like one particular car to: The Ford Mustang Fastback (1965 through 1970) I have a great '65 that I drive... or lie under bathing in transmissionfluid! There's always something that needs some work. Ha! I put a picture somewhere 'round here. Enjoy.

I'd like to meet:

Don't know really... Surprise me! But don't expect me to be around that much. I prefer dwelling in the 'real' world.

Music:

Kashmir (Denmark), Seigmen (Norway), Oceansize, Tool, Massive Attack, John Mayer, Motorpsycho, Kyuss, Sting/Police, Michael Kamen (Rip), Orbital, At The Drive-in, Soilwork, A Perfect Circle, Nevermore, Jeff Buckley (Rip), Katatonia and Meshuggah! To name but a few... Furthermore I have a preference for mid-tempo music with a good groove in Minor key. Don't know why that is. It's sort of a contradiction to my positive nature.

Movies:

Let's see now... Festen, Shawshank Redemption, Funny Games, Seven, Road To Perdition, The holy Grail (Monthy Python), Braveheart, The thirteenth warrior, Name Of The Rose, The Matrix (part 1 only!!!), The ninth gate and Thursday. Again, to name a few...

Television:

Ha,ha. The News and CSI!

Books:

'Weaveworld' and 'Sacrament' by Clive Barker were great. And 'Paradise Lost' by John Milton. But that's a real challenge.

Heroes:

Everyone can be one when opportunity presents itself. Don't miss it. Act!
