The band Skytah
Skytah can best be characterized as a rock band with a distinctive style.Â
The band name is an indirect link to the Scythians, who were the first great nomadic group in Central Asia.
The band members are amongst others musically influenced by: Skunk Anansie, Alanis Morissette, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd en Led Zeppelin.
A few years ago Skytah has been established by Adriënn Pásztor (vocalist, composer) and Ben Humpig (guitarist, composer).
 The band members
Eelco van der Meer (drummer) is the most recent band member. Originally from the Metal scene, he takes a new direction with Skytah. Eelco is also the drummer of the metalcore formation Last Breath Denied.
Nathanael Korf is the permanent bassist for Skytah. Ever since Nathanael tried the bass guitar at seventeen, this instrument fascinates him. In the past he has played bass guitar in several bands, which lacked the specific style, musical approach and ambition, that Skytah possesses.
Ben Humpig (guitarist, composer) was during his study at the Conservatory of Music amongst others active in the Haarlem hardcore / metal band Brutal Obscenity. Until recently Ben was also the lead guitarist of the Seventies coverband SuperSpade.
Adriënn Pásztor (vocalist, composer) was during and after her study Law involved in various music projects, but could only develop her own style with Skytah.
 Skytah: the story so far
The debut album of Skytah has been recorded at the end of 2006.

Currently, Skytah is busy promoting her debut album via live shows, interviews, etc.
