The years, no doubt, have changed me.

About Me

Hello, everyone!
Those of you who know me will realize that I’ve recently emptied out my profile. Sorry about that. I was reading it a couple of days back and I realized that I just wasn’t happy with it. But now, I’m going to re-build it, hopefully with information that I’m more pleased to be sharing (though I don’t suppose we can please everyone all of the time, least of all ourselves, eh?)
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is James, I’m 24 years old and currently trying to find a way to undergo back surgery. Since injuring my back, my weight has ballooned out of control and I weigh more than I’m comfortable commenting on here. I’m six foot tall, I wear nice black shoes that double as steel toe work accessories, and I have no fashion sense to speak of.
I’m a happily adjusted geek – I love reading, video games, gory films, animation (both home grown and from abroad), and music. Doctor Who is the best TV show ever produced, Battlestar Galactica is too nihilistic for my tastes, and Eureka is the most underrated TV show ever (geek alert! geek alert!)
After I undergo back surgery, I plan on moving away from Texas. My destination is unsure, but I’m thinking South Dakota, or maybe Illinois or Kansas. As you can see, my course is not fully plotted, but I do know that I would one day like to attend college and major in English/Literature, while possibly working on a minor in Psychology.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Meeting people isn’t a priority right now, but if you’d like to add me as a friend, feel free. People who are open minded, easy going, and who have a broad, sweeping sense of humor would be preferred. I’m a bit of a cynic and my sense of humor can be quite sarcastic, you see. Don’t want to offend the locals, so to speak. ^_^

Review: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull OST

I've always been a fan of John Williams, but my devotion to his compositional prowess began to wax and wane around 1993. By 1998, his scores seemed to fall into an extremely safe production pattern, a...
