I'm just waiting for 'The Age of Stars and Mandrakes

About Me

Set the lights down low, Join with me in warm abandon, release your mind and charge my soul. Deep down inside a truth lies sleeping, when roused by wrath it's fury stirs. One night burnt in madness, smoulders behind your quiet eyes, set the lights down though, set the lights down low.Cast all of your inhibitions, to a place where they can't be, forlorn embrace, it's my condition, vacuum-pack your last memory. Unearth from me in mind-torn violence, has fallen fortune crushed me slow? Frustrate upon me your searing silence, the realms of chaos draw closer still, our world is folding inwards, so set the lights down low.My sadness has longed, my sadness has chosen, follow me through a force of angels glancing. My soul is sliding in time quite frozen, hold me still though the night is dancing, slide on through dark winds of woe, they will be here if we wake, Set the lights down though, yes low, low, lower than you know.Unwind from ties that bind, entwine your world with mine, only the moon will know we are one, sometimes the stars will sense what we've done, only the night will see as we run, so set the lights down low, release your mind and charge your soul, set the lights down low, just low, low, lower than you know.

My Interests

Octopus Head-Frosting (seasonal). Trying to discover words by reading other words backwards, or indeed entire sentences. Gargoyles. The Wild dress sense of the standard Librarian. The Social habits of Russian Long-haired Gerbils. Iranian finger-painted egg-cups (Highly collectable). The Known Universe and of course, the unknown multiverse. Anything that strikes my interest even from afar and especially where extreme distortion is applied.

I'd like to meet:

All the seekers, the seers and the silently screaming. The crying trees of mercury, the pavers of goodwill, the lost and the weary. The peaceful, victorious soldiers upon their return from emotional warfare. A wandering albatross, mid-flight under a star-blanketed Southern hemispherical sky. The marching angels amidst the dark of moonlight. The homeless man in Melbourne who did humble my soul more than I had ever endeavoured to think possible by way of just one simple gesture. The Sailors of a selfless wave so we might fully engage in the sacraficial glory of their unlikely return. Those who have yet to wonder why the crying so despair. Cochise, so we might flint-heartedly exchange trinkets, trivia and tears. Someone special between a sunbeam and a moonbeam of the highest order and if the stars are in position, we will. The effortlessly, endlessly, enlightened ones. A whimsical sea-squirt toiling tirelessly in the throes of its very being. The aimless amblers and the rogue-browed ramblers. All of the authors of all of the books which make a staircase to a bed where I can't sleep. The children in this world with holocaust eyes and a smile that never gave in to cruel torture. A widowed Mother of many children during The Highland Clearances. Someone, somewhere on a slipstream within unchartered realms far beyond our own solar-system. All the burnt-out souls and soothsayers on their lonesome trek to nowhere. All those holding desperately on to their will to hold on.My fears and stray hopes floundering, brought together we'll build a force quite strong

Movies:

Okay well I have tried to put in my movie list before to no avail....I spent a long time mentally conjuring up only a tragic few of the many films that have sweeped my senses since day dot...the tragic few of course were in their selves....many, just not them all. In my infinite wisdom I managed to delete the entire list by electing to click something other than 'save all changes'...and that was that really, gone forever, a written work of wildly random proportions, lost in cyber-spacial squalor forever...I celebrated this loss by flying into an emotionally-charged rage of which bore witness to my strikingly calm making of a curiously conceived local-cheese and brown sauce sandwich, only to find myself half-heartedly staring at it through the haze of a scented candle before sloping off to bed, most miffed by my failure, but hardly defeated!! And so I have returned, true of heart...The only question you ought to present yourself with at this moment is, do I really have time to read this?..That my dear, is unlikely. Chaos is the only order I know so there will be no order of importance. I would however like to mention some favourites right away before I jog off into chaotic oblivion. Spader...That's James Spader, my most favoured, revered Actor of all time...I couldn't like anyone more, the man has nothing to declare but his genius. Bit of a nut for Christopher Walken, Johnny Depp and Ken Stott respectively, not to mention Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro, Christian Bale does it for me but not on a Sunday....Ooh Gabriel Byrne is up there strolling sideways with Jack Nicholsan, they both seem unaware of Denzel Washington sitting on a park bench, but I can assure you he is there.....as is Juliette Lewis and with exactly one actress in my bag I shall launch into my film list...don't get scared now. Apocalypto, Donnie Darko, Primer, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather Trilogy, Once Upon a Time In America, Raging Bull, Scarface, The Departed, Casino, Heat, A Bronx Tale, Mean Streets, Sleepers, This Boy's Life, Taxi driver, Serpico, The Scent of a Woman, The Devil's Advocate, Summer of Sam, Kalifornia, Wild at Heart, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Secret Window, Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, The Astronauts Wife, Gattaca, Stargate, Supernova, Alien Hunter, Alien(all of them...yip...even that one!!), The Pentagon Papers, Jacob's Ladder, The Manchurian Candidate, The Hurricane, Man On Fire, Boyz In The Hood, Dead Presidents, Nil By Mouth, Sexy Beast, The Life of David Gale, American History X, Fight Club, dead Man's Shoes, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.
