all the gear and nae idea!

About Me

The Phoenix Band are 6. Roy McPherson (Juice and Sandwiches), James Smith (Hair and Make-up), Marc Roy (Champagne and Trinkets), Lyn Beard (Dandelion and Burdock), Martyn Cowie (Dietics and Nutrition) and Gary Morrison (Mortgage Advice and Ivory Tickler).
These 6 messengers play space age intergalactic psychedelic folk, rock, country, beat and funk backed by many a tasty sample.
The band has risen from the ashes left by the mighty Ark Royals whose demise left a huge hole in the local music scene. Life in such a one horse town hence forth took its toll on the 6 who had been waiting and hoping for something great to come along and melt their ears, it never did!

’Things have never quite been the same since the Royals were lost to the great desert sands of time. Ive lost my job, my wife and my sanity; surely such musical depravation cannot go on for long!’ (Prominent local Commercial Hotel regular)
On hearing such musings the 6 purchased a home recording studio, and our band of merry musical mercenaries began to make some sweet sweet music (MATRON!!!!!!) and then started to record some songs for their new album under the newly assumed moniker The Phoenix Band.
Many long nights were spent in our dank attic recording pod. Some nights were good, some nights were bad and some even resulted in some members serving up lashings of face time with old lady fist when things did not quite go their way.
